Mkeka & Carpets cleaning company was started in 2017. This was from a backdrop of concerns that there was no professional carpet cleaning laundry in Kenya. The options available for most of us were:
1. Do-it-Yourself (DIY), it is an option to-date. This option is tedious takes days or weeks to dry.
2. Trust a commercial cleaner who uses the same process as DIY. The only relieve is labour otherwise your carpets take long to dry up, and sometimes they come back moldy & smelly.
3. Take to a car wash and you know what happens- looks clean but comes back perhaps not too dry and with more dust because you know the environment your carpet is dried. Mkeka Kenya came in the picture and invalidated all options.
Mkeka & carpets ltd was established to undertake cleaning services both in the residential and commercial market.

Scheduling and Payment
You can schedule your appointment through our website by clicking here, or you can call our customer service department at the given phone numbers.
We require at least 2 days’ notice for picking carpets and for residential/in-house appointments. However incase of emergencies we will do our best to serve you.
once we have laundered your carpets or cleaned your seats, we cannot offer a refund. We don’t anticipate having any problems with our customers refusing to pay, but just in case, we reserve the right to hold your carpet hostage until we are paid in full.
Pick-up and Delivery Scheduling
Mkeka & Carpets Laundry provides pick-up and delivery service. We also occasionally allow clients to deliver their carpets to our workshop. There are, however, circumstances when we may be unable to complete deliveries (e.g torrential rain, civil riots or any other incidences on that may be dangerous for our staff to be on public roads). Therefore, we reserve the right to pick-up and deliver at the most convenient time and day.
We will do our best to pick-up your carpet at the agreed upon time. That being said, we can’t be held accountable if we are late for unforeseen circumstances. Similarly, we hope that you will strive to be on-time for our deliveries. If you do miss a pick-up or delivery, we will try to coordinate an alternate time as soon as possible.
Unattended Pick-up and Delivery
If you request that we leave your carpets unattended (e.g., on your porch, in a hallway, or in your foyer) or with a third party (e.g., with a doorman, the guard at the barrier or gate or a neighbor), we are not responsible for your carpet before we have picked it up or after we have dropped it off. You also agree that our records of pick-up and drop-off times are true and accurate.
Allergies
We use commercial carpet shampoos by Spectra Chemicals for all type of carpets. These detergents are marketed as detergents composed of solvent cleaners and synthetic surfactants. These shampoos are odorless and safe for all carpet types and upholstery.
Miscellaneous
As our business changes, we may want to modify some of terms in this agreement. Therefore, we encourage you to check back frequently to familiarize yourself with any changes.
Although we think we are generally agreeable people, we recognize that Mkeka & Carpets and you may have a dispute. In this event, you agree that any legal action pertaining to this agreement, or Mkeka & Carpets generally, shall be conducted in Kenyan small claims court.
Our aim is to ensure that you are satisfied with Mkeka services. We purpose to treat your carpets and upholstery with maximum care, however we still need to agree to some rules to ensure that there are no misunderstandings about Mkeka ( referred to as “MkekaKenya” or “Mkeka superclean” or “Mkeka & carpets ltd”) or your obligations. By using our service, you acknowledge and accept the following Terms and Conditions.
These terms and conditions apply to area rug, carpets and upholstery
Suitability for Laundering
For Carpets and area rugs, we use water. By using our service, you agree that your carpets are suitable to be washed in water, and dried using centrifuge wringer and dehumidifier drier. We cannot be responsible for any damage to carpets/area rugs that is not suitable for this standard laundering process. Similarly, we reserve the right to refuse to service items that we feel will be hazardous to our staff, such as items heavily soiled with human or animal waste. This is for the health and safety of our team.
Damaged Laundry
We will do everything we can to avoid damaging your carpets. Unfortunately, there are limitations to what we can do. For example, we don’t have the capacity to check fine details of fiber weaknesses inherent in your carpet/area rug. Therefore, we can’t be held responsible for damaged as a result of defects inherent in you carpets that cannot be detected prior to washing, despite our effort to inspect what we can
All laundering processes, regardless of how gentle, cause normal wear and tear on carpets. As a result, we cannot be responsible for any wear and tear of carpets, including weak fringes, fading, fatiguing, weakness as a result of stain removal detergents/stain removers. Similarly, we reserve the right to decline cleaning any particular piece of carpet if we think it will lead to trouble.
